Lara Ronayne Casimiro

Lara Ronayne Casimiro is currently serving as the Internal Communications Officer for NATO Headquarters, Brussels, Belgium. She is responsible for the development, coordination and management of strategic internal communications to both the International civilian and military staffs as well as to all 32 Allied political and military representations. Ms Ronayne Casimiro also creates, coordinates and manages NATO HQ-wide communication campaigns and initiatives.

Before taking up this position, Lara worked in the Office of the Public Affairs and Strategic Communications’ Advisor (PASCAD), within the NATO International Military Staff, where she managed its internal communications. Lara was responsible for setting up the internal communications strategy for the organisation, which resulted in the creation of its monthly newsletter the “Missive”. She drafted, edited and managed each edition until her departure. Part of her duties also included managing the social media accounts for the Chair of the NATO Military Committee and the PASCAD, for which she drafted content, developed campaigns and created videos and infographics. Furthermore, Lara also used her writing skills to craft speeches, prepare interviews and draft key messages for NATO’s military leadership.

Prior to joining NATO, Lara honed her skills working for a communication and event agency, which catered to Brussels and Paris-based law firms, European and international institutions, non-profits organisations and the City of Brussels. Ms Ronayne Casimiro has a bachelor’s degree in Communications and a Master’s degree in Public Affairs and Communications.
