Dr Jörg Jacobs

Bundeswehr

After four years of service in the German Air Force, Dr. Jörg Jacobs studied Political Science from 1989 to 1996 (with a focus on Comparative Politics and Political Sociology). He worked at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) as a researcher from 1996 to 2007, where he also got his PhD with a study on political attitudes in Central and Eastern Europe. He re-joined the Bundeswehr in 2007 as a researcher in public opinion and defence policy, and is currently head of the unit for basic research at the Bundeswehr Centre for Public Affairs.
