Executive senior government director Christiane Tiemann M.A., born in 1974, studied political science, communication science and philosophy in Münster and Amsterdam.

After her studies and journalistic training as a trainee, she worked as a television journalist. She later became editor-in-chief in a production company and in 2010 moved to a PR and media agency as a senior producer and editor-in-chief.

In 2015, she became head of section in the Bundeswehr Editorial Service, the Bundeswehr central publishing house. In 2018, she moved to the Federal Ministry of Defence as a consultant for external target groups and head of visitor services. A year later, she became a consultant for strategic key topics.

Since 2021, executive senior government director Christiane Tiemann has been editor-in-chief of the Bundeswehr Editorial Service and is responsible for content production for external and internal media, as part of Bundeswehr Centre for Public Affairs.
