SHAPE - Communications Analysis Head

Elizabeth Fry

An award-winning communications specialist, Elizabeth Fry is the head of communications analysis at NATO’s Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE).

Since beginning her NATO career in 2009, Elizabeth has worked at both NATO’s political and strategic military headquarters. Elizabeth brings her background in operational strategy to her communications roles, and has won several awards for her work on military communications assessment and evaluation. She is also currently reading for a PhD at King’s College London, where she is conducting research on the Information Environment.

Elizabeth has a background in non-profit organisations, having worked in the communications teams of some of the world’s leading human rights organisations including Human Rights Watch, Committee to Protect Journalists and Open Society Foundations.

She lives in Belgium with her husband and four young children.
