Seb Pollington is a former British Army Colonel, Defence Advisor with a background in Mediterranean and Southern European security. He is based in Naples, working for NATO’s Joint Forces Command Naples (JFCNP) Influence Branch. He leads the Information Fusion Cell (IFC) responsible for monitoring and assessing the Information Environment (IE) across NATO’s Southern Region; and for its transformation in the Information Domain.
He was recruited into UK Defence Intelligence as member of the Royal Air Force Intelligence Branch in 2020 – to retain knowledge and experience. He has 30 years’ background on UK global operations; and in a series of UK strategic planning appointments. Previously he was British Defence Advisor in Cyprus (2013-17) with responsibility for strategic intelligence, UK security interests in the Mediterranean, Near East and North Africa. Prior to retiring he was part of the UK Defence transformation programme including for the creation of UK’s National Cyber Force (NCF).
He is a leadership mentor, trustee and sports chairman, having taught in graduate development roles at Sandhurst and Cambridge University where he mentors at Homerton College. He is also an artist, with work exhibiting in US, UK and European galleries.
