NATO's JSEC ensures effortless flow of assets during exercise Brilliant Jump

SZCZECIN, Poland - NATO’s Joint Support and Enabling Command (JSEC) is playing a crucial role during exercise Brilliant Jump 2024, part of the Steadfast Defender exercise series, currently underway in the Drawsko Pomorskie Training area in Poland.

Under the auspices of the command, JSEC coordinated the enablement and movement of military forces with all relevant authorities, both government and civilian, to ensure a smooth transition of assets to the exercise area.

"With Exercise Brilliant Jump 2024 we have been able to successfully implement what is expected of us and we have made a significant contribution to getting the right troops to the right place at the right time to defend any inch of NATO territory against any aggressor," said JSEC Commander Lieutenant General Alexander Sollfrank

Brilliant Jump realised the bringing together of forces from Albania, Poland, Spain, Türkiye and the United Kingdom via air, land and sea. 3,000 soldiers and 700 vehicles, which make up NATO’s Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF), have descended to the region.

JSEC’s mission continues over the course of the entire Steadfast Defender exercise series and will end with the return home of national exercising forces. Until then, movements will guarantee NATO's reinforcement by forces and its sustainment flow at the right location at the time of relevance, coordinated and monitored by the Joint Support and Enabling Command based in Ulm, Germany.
