The SHAPE International Band's Ceremonial Band is a 12-20 piece military ceremonial band. Composed of the premiere conservatory musicians from military bands across the NATO Alliance, the Ceremonial Band regularly performs for heads of state as well as the senior leadership of NATO and the European Union. The band features trumpets, trombones, saxophones, clarinets, piccolo, and battery percussion and is scaleable depending on the performance space available, volume desired, and size of venue. Repertoire for this ensemble typically includes marches from Sousa, Fillmore, Lithgow, & Goldman as well as the NATO and EU anthems, various Alliance member national anthems and military service/regimental songs, and the SHAPE Fanfare. Examples of recent performances include:
- outdoor performance at the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) Change of Command at SHAPE Headquarters
- indoor performances for the King of Spain and Chief Head of Defense of Moldova for distinguished visitor arrival ceremonies inside SHAPE Headquarters
- outdoor performance at the famed Menin Gate Memorial near Ypres, Belgium honoring those killed or missing in action in World War I.
- combined performance for the President and Prime Minister of Albania with the Albanian Armed Forces Band in Tirana, Albania in honor of Albania's 10th Anniversary of NATO Ascension.
