Master Sergeant Rebecca Wischmann was born in Cape Giradeau, Missouri USA and was raised in Arizona. Her education consists of two bachelor’s degrees: in Theater Education from the University of Arizona in 1990, and in Song Writing from Berklee College of Music in 2019. The first phase of her military career was with the U.S. Air National Guard Band at Dobbins Air Base, Georgia from 1995 to 1999. After a brief separation to teach high school, she re-enlisted into active duty service in 2001 and has since served with the Air Force Bands at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas; Yokota Air Base, Japan; and Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. Highlights of her career include performing with the band Little Texas, two deployments to the Middle East, and singing the National Anthem at events such as a Houston Rockets basketball game and the College World Series in Omaha. At the SHAPE International Band, Master Sergeant Wischmann is the leader of Task Force X and lends her vocal talents to the NATO Jazz Orchestra.
