Sergeant First Class Tony Williams was born in Stony Brook, New York, USA and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2002. Beginning his military career as a reservist at Fort Totten, New York, he then transitioned to active duty and has served at Fort Benning, Georgia; Fort Bragg, North Carolina; and as an instructor at the U.S. Army School of Music at ```Little Creek Amphibious Base, Virginia. During his service he has performed for Vice President Dick Cheney, Pope John Paul II, and with the band at The United States Military Academy at West Point. Sergeant First Class Williams serves in the SHAPE International Band as the Director of Operations, and as a trombonist and vocalist for Task Force X and the NATO Jazz Orchestra.
