Preparations continue for the Military Strategic Partnerships Conference 2024

SARAJEVO – Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe’s (SHAPE) Partnerships Directorate concluded its main liaison actions for the annual Military Strategic Partnerships Conference (MSPC) during a trip to Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) from Nov. 14 to 17, 2023.

The BiH staff have been superb in accommodating all our requests and have added significant value to our planning

“My NATO team and our Bosnian counterparts have worked hard this week to lay the foundations for our annual Partnerships conference. MSPC develops annually the NATO Partnerships Programme and sets the goals and aspirations for the various aspects of the Programme.  The BiH staff have been superb in accommodating all our requests and have added significant value to our planning,” said Lieutenant Colonel Darcy Wright, Conference Project Leader.

“Such extensive preparations, and building these relationships will always reap immense reward and allow the execution of the conference to go smoothly, and provide the vehicle for an excellent and productive event,” Wright added.

The team met with all the functional equivalents of the BiH Armed Forces staff, and visited key areas that will make up a demanding but highly valuable programme. The conference will highlight the contribution of the BiH Armed Forces to the NATO Response Force (NRF) which will include a visit to the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) school, and a display of capabilities from the BiH NRF committed Forces.

This years conference will be held between Apr. 8 to 12, 2024 in Sarajevo.

Bosnia and Herzegovina has been a member of NATO’s Partnership for Peace (PfP) programme since 2006
