INJE-GUN, Republic of Korea - A NATO delegation attended the first International Combat Training Competition held at the Korean Combat Training Centre, (KCTC) in Inje-Gun, Republic of Korea from Oct. 21 to 27, 2023.
Eight teams from 5 nations participated including Cambodia, Republic of Korea, United Kingdom, United States of America and Uzbekistan.

“Extensive military capability, readiness and the will to defend ourselves are fundamental to preserve peace. We provide a whole range of combat capability training through realistic scenarios, excellent facilities and a well trained exercise enemy force,” said Major General Jung Taek Park, KCTC.
“Combat power is both visible and invisible, and by hosting this competition, participating nations demonstrated many combat skills where we can learn from each other. The competition scenarios have been structured to provide realistic testing conditions, and I am immensely pleased with the performances of participating nations and the Korean armed forces,” he added.
2023 is the 73rd Anniversary of the Korean. This competition demonstrates the multi-national approach to interoperability, the desire for like minded nations to protect themselves and significant combat effectiveness. After the success of this competition, the Korean Combat Training Centre is already planning for next year’s event where participating nations can test their operating procedures and tactics under challenging conditions.
