1. What do you miss most about home?
I miss family and old friends the most. Being able to have a quick coffee and a talk without a lot of planning.
2. What have you learned working at SHAPE in an international environment that you can take back to your national military?
Working at SHAPE has been stepping into a new world. I've been working with media for many years but got the opportunity to try something completely different when moving to Belgium.
This work environment has taught me to use my skills in an entirely new way that I never thought possible. It's refreshing to have colleagues from all over the alliance and get new perspectives on life. I'm very grateful for the chance, and I hope to be able to stay here for a lot more years.
3. What is something unique about Denmark that others might not know?
The Danish coast line is huge due to more than 1400 islands. It measures 8.750 km. No matter where you are, you can reach the sea in maximum 52 km.
4. During normal non COVID times how would you usually celebrate this national day?
Denmark does not have a national day like many other countries. Grundlovsdag, June 5th, is the closest you get to a Danish national day. We celebrate the first Danish constitution from 1849. Since then the day has been synonymous with political meetings where people gather to express their views and celebrate Danish democracy.
