NATO Joint Electronic Warfare Core Staff (JEWCS)

NATO Joint Electronic Warfare Core Staff (JEWCS) supports all NATO Headquarters and Commands in the development of NATO (Electronic Warfare) EW Policy, doctrine, concepts and experimentations. This unit advises also on contingency planning, force integration and offers specialised expertise on how to react to a hostile electromagnetic environment.

JEWCS also provides the Supreme Allied Commander Europe, Allied Command Operations and Allied Command Transformation with EW capabilities. These expertise and training serve both the planning and execution of NATO operations and exercises.

The information is shared through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Czechia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, United Kingdom and the United States of America. The centre is based at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton and was officially activated in 2013.
