Meet Lieutenant Ibrahim Maman Bobo Ibrahim, Platoon Commander for Nigerien Special Forces.  

Exercise Flintlock 2023 was conducted from Mar. 1 to 15, 2023, in Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire and involved 1,300 service members from 30 countries, including 10 NATO Special Operations Forces (SOF). 

For 2 weeks, NATO SOF worked closely with African nations to improve interoperability, counter violent extremism and collectively address security threats. F

LINTLOCK 2023 is a US Special Operations Command Africa exercise with 14 NATO Allies and one NATO partner designed around the concept of interoperability between military and civilian organisations to eliminate terrorist safe havens in northwest Africa by strengthening countries’ counterterrorism capabilities and inhibiting the spread of extremist ideology.
