MONS, Belgium - Commanders, senior enlisted leaders and staff members from across Allied Command Operations met at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) Jul. 12 to 13, 2022 for the tri-annual Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) Commander's Conference.
It was great bringing the team together to collaborate and focus on the way forward
The conference was the first opportunity for SACEUR, General Christopher G. Cavoli, to meet face to face with his commanders and staff to discuss NATO priorities, Strategic Concept outcomes from the NATO Summit, and the Deterrence and Defence of the Euro-Atlantic Area (DDA) Family of Plans.

Another special highlight of the conference was Military Member of the Year (MYOY) Awards Ceremony. Technical Sergeant Geronimo Carino, Flight Sergeant Ian Sheard and Flight Lieutenant Jonathan Bailey were the winning recipients for the 2022 MYOY awards.
The conference, which is always chaired by SACEUR, is hosted at different headquarters across Allied Command Operations on a rotating basis. The next conference will be held at NATO Allied Maritime Command in November 2022.
