The Operational Capability Concept Evaluation and Feedback team from SHAPE Partnerships successfully conducted Level 2 training in Bosnia and Herzegovina from Sept. 19 to 23, 2022, to assess the military capabilities of evaluated units against NATO standards.
“The enthusiasm, capability and professionalism of these units who have been evaluated has been extremely impressive,” said Brigadier General Remes, Slovakia Air Force Assistant Chief of Staff Military Cooperation Partnership Directorate. “The importance of standardisation and compatibility within all our armed forces is vital to execute defensive operations. The evaluation team and the units themselves have worked extremely hard to ensure they are fully mission capable.”
For this effort, the evaluation team consisted of over 50 evaluators from Allied Joint Force Command Naples, Allied Land Command Izmir, as well as from Partner Nations. The team was represented by subject matter experts from Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Moldova, Norway, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Sweden and USA.
The evaluation programme is one of many opportunities that NATO offers its partners as part of Cooperative Security, with other programmes such as Crisis Prevention, Crisis Management and Military Training Teams.
