Video: World Science day for Peace and Development

Every year since 1986 the world observes International Week of Science and Peace during the week in which November 11 falls. Celebrated every November 10, World Science Day for Peace and Development highlights the significant role of science in society. It underlines the importance and relevance of science in our daily lives.

The NATO Research Vessel (NRV) Alliance allows scientists and engineers to conduct a wide range of experiments. This video highlights one of NATO’s Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation (CMRE) programs conducting research on the use of autonomous underwater vehicles (UAVs), innovating NATO’s mine countermeasure (MCM) capabilities making it safer for operators and teams.  (video from 2019)
