MONS, Belgium – NATO Allies participated in air integration and interoperability training over the Baltic region on Tuesday, May 5, 2020.
Two U.S. Air Force B-1 Lancers from Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota, U.S. conducted a long-range strategic Bomber Task Force mission to the region to train with Denmark F-16s.
The Americans not only trained with the Danish but also with Estonian Joint Terminal Air Controllers in Tapa for close air support.

This kind of training is designed to enhance resiliency and interoperability amongst NATO allies, improving readiness and sharpening operational capabilities.

Last time the U.S. Air Force B-1 Lancers were in Europe was November 2018 supporting NATO’s Trident Juncture exercise.
