SACEUR hosts breakfast for SHAPE high school seniors

MONS, Belgium – Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), General Curtis M. Scaparrotti, hosted students from the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) American High School for an annual 'Graduation Breakfast' Monday, Mar. 25, 2019.

The annual event, which began in 2003, allows the students to take a break from the daily rigors of school and socialise with General Scaparrotti and their peers at the SACEUR's residence.

"Being in a military family is a lifestyle that places uncommon demand on our families and I am proud of the young adults that come through our school system on SHAPE," said General Scaparrotti. "The well-being and education of our children is critical to the future success of our mission at SHAPE and I am grateful to the students, staff and teachers at each of our schools for helping us achieve our goals."

SHAPE American High School is home to over 300 students, 42 percent of whom are from countries other than the United States. The students will soon wrap up the 2019 school year and march on to graduation in June.
