SACEUR General Scaparrotti has phone call with Russian Chief of General Staff

MONS, Belgium- General Curtis M. Scaparrotti, Supreme Allied Commander Europe, and General Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and First Deputy Minister of Defence had a phone call on Friday, Sept. 21, 2018.

The two military leaders used the SACEUR - Russian CHOD channel to foster predictability and transparency.

This phone call follows their meeting in Baku, Azerbaijan 19 April.

General Scaparrotti and General Gerasimov agreed to continue using the military lines of communication in the future.
