2017 Allied Command Operations Military Member of the Year Awards
Supreme Allied Commander Europe, General Curtis M. Scaparrotti, introduces the award ceremony of ACO Military Member of the Year, June 21, 2018 at Allied Joint Force Command Naples.
NAPLES, Italy – Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), General Curtis M. Scaparrotti, and Command Senior Enlisted Leader (CSEL), Command Sergeant Major Davor Petek, presented four Allied Command Operations (ACO) military personnel with ACO Military Member of the Year awards on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Allied Joint Force Command Naples.
The recipients this year include British Army Corporal Adam Wilson employed with NATO Communication and Information Group (NCISG), Canadian Army Sergeant Mark Hall employed with Allied Joint Force Command Brunssum (JFCBS), a United States Navy Member employed with the NATO Special Operations Forces (NSHQ) and United States Air Force Captain Amanda Zenner employed with NATO's Airborne Early Warning and Control Force (NAEW&C Force).
"Command Sergeant Major Davor Petek and I would like to congratulate the recipients of the 2017 Allied Command Operations Military Member of the Year Award. They have all worked extremely hard and should be very proud of this achievement," said General Scaparrotti. "We enjoyed congratulating them and their families during the ceremony today. I would like to personally thank the supervisors, Command Senior Enlisted Leaders and Commanders for their efforts in highlighting the accomplishments of all our outstanding military personnel."
Recipients of this award are nominated by their unit in order to recognise their superior performance and professional excellence. It is only awarded to junior ranks, non-commissioned officers and junior officers for their significant contributions towards the success of Alliance operations.
The Allied Command Operations Military Member of the Year programme was implemented in 2013.
