MONS, Belgium - A significant milestone was marked in enhancing our collective defence on Monday, July 1, 2024,  with the stand-up of the Allied Reaction Force (ARF). 

As part of the new NATO Force Model, the ARF will replace the NATO Response Force (NRF), providing a more robust and agile defence mechanism across land, maritime, air, and cyber domains.

This development is crucial for the deterrence and defence of the Euro-Atlantic area, ensuring we are prepared to respond swiftly and effectively to any threat. The NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Italy (NRDC-ITA) will lead the ARF for the next three years, reinforcing our commitment to high-readiness forces and strategic preparedness.
