Top US enlisted visits SHAPE

US Command Sergeant Major John Troxell, the senior enlisted advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, visited Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe April 27 and 28, 2017.

Troxell spent his time at SHAPE meeting with key leaders, greeting the Soldiers, Sailors and Airmen who serve here and sharing his experience and leadership with noncommissioned and junior officers. 

"This visits confirmed what I already knew, that NATO is absolutely critical to global security and it is absolutely critical for the US to continue to remain committed to NATO because the efforts that NATO is doing now transregional,” Troxell said.

Allied Command Operations Command Senior Enlisted Leader Command Sergeant Major Davor Petek hosted the SEAC during his visit.

"It was an honor to host CSM Troxell and have the opportunity to showcase what our forces and enlisted leaders are doing everyday for the Alliance,” said Petek.

Troxell also had the opportunity to address and recognize U.S. service members during an All Call.

"The future is bright and its going to continue to get better and better,” Troxell added in regards to the status of noncommissioned officers in the Alliance.
