Colonel Linas Kubilius

Colonel Linas KUBILIUS is a 1994 graduate of Lithuanian Military Academy, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in human resources administration. He has graduated Joint Command and General staff course in Baltic Defense College in Estonia as well strategic studies in the United States Air War College.

Prior to becoming NMR to SHAPE Colonel Linas KUBILIUS served as Lithuanian Armed Forces National Defense Volunteer Forces Commander.

On 15 July 2020 Linas KUBILIUS was promoted to the rank of Colonel.

Colonel has had multiple command and staff positions in Lithuanian Armed Forces include Land Forces deputy commander position, command as CO of Arms Control and Verification department in Lithuanian Joint staff, Battalion commander, was chief of operation section G3 Lithuanian Land forces HQ, He was also commander of 8th territorial unit training center, G2/3 of LTU SOF.

He deployed to Iraq as operation officer and SNR in Danish battle group in 2005 as well to Afghanistan as commander of Lithuanian lead PRT in 2012.

In 1 August 2023, Colonel Linas KUBILIUS, was appointed as a Lithuanian National Military Representative to SHAPE.

For the commendable service to Lithuania and Lithuanian Armed Forces Colonel Linas KUBILIUS was awarded the Lithuanian Order of the Cross of Vytis and a number of other national and international awards.
