Prince of Wales visits KFOR Headquarters


PRISTINA, Kosovo -  The Prince of Wales visited Kosovo Force (KFOR) Headquarters in Pristina on Saturday, March 19. This was one of the final engagements for The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall on their tour of the Western Balkans.

The Prince of Wales was welcomed to Camp "Film City" by KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta and an Honour Guard comprised of KFOR service members.

During the visit, the Prince laid wreaths at the monuments to the KFOR service members and 14 UK servicemen who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the service of peace while on operations in Kosovo. This solemn event was attended by the British Ambassador to Kosovo, Mr. Ruairí O'Connell and a representation from the various military contingents serving in KFOR.

The Prince of Wales accompanied by Major General Miglietta, met KFOR General Officers and Senior National Representatives and Canadian and Irish contingent members.
