NATO Rapid Deployable Corps Turkey conducts certification in exercise Trident Jaguar

On May 4, 2016, the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps-Turkey (NRDC-T) certification exercise started in Istanbul. The exercise will last ten days and will allow NRDC-T to be fully operationally capable to take over the NATO Joint Task Force rotation for the next two years.

NRDC-T, under the lead of Lieutenant General Erdal Ozturk, is conducting the exercise code named Trident Jaguar 16 in the very heart of Istanbul in the "General Mazlum ISKORA" Base.

This NATO Allied Command Transformation sponsored exercise is designed to train, exercise, evaluate and certify the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps-Turkey headquarters, as the NATO Force Structure stand by Joint Task Force Headquarters in accordance with NATO's long term rotation plan.
No less than 1800 personnel are participating to that training event. They belong to 25 different countries, allied but also partners; and 38 organisations either Turkish or from foreign countries.

Distinguished Visitors (DV) Day of the exercise will be conducted with the attendance of the top level bodies of NATO and Turkey on May 12 in Istanbul.
