KFOR Commander holds high level talks with Serbian Armed Forces

PRISTINA, Kosovo -The Commander of KFOR and the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces (SAF) held high level talks on Thursday, 11 December.
KFOR Commander, Major General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo met with Serbian General Ljubisa Dikovic, in Niš in southern Serbia.
The duo discussed the security situation in Kosovo and focused their attention on military undertakings where cooperation between KFOR and SAF is pivotal.

The KFOR Commander highlighted the improvement in the security situation in Kosovo and stressed that these achievements were accomplished thanks to the cooperation between KFOR and SAF. He also pointed out the continuous efforts of the NATO mission; maintaining a safe and secure environment with freedom of movement, thereby creating the necessary conditions to help and support progress, democracy and modernisation in Kosovo. 
This meeting in Niš, followed those in Tirana and Skopje which were held over the last few months. It was part of the agenda of high level talks conducted in line with the Military Technical Agreement (MTA), known as the Kumanovo Treaty.  In this regard, the KFOR Commander periodically meets the Chiefs of Defence of the countries bordering the KFOR Area of Responsibility.
